Easy Slow Cooker Meals for the Busy Family

 Here are some slow cooker meals that my family loves!
One thing about the crock pot is you can throw it all in and go do something else while it cooks! Multitasking the key to motherhood!!

Creamy Chicken and Dumplings

  • "Thick, Creamy Chicken and Dumplings! Great dinner for a quick meal after work! And you can add Carrots or any other vegetable to this mix if you choose!"


  • Rotisserie Chicken (Original Flavor)
  • 2 Tbs Butter
  • 1 (26 oz) Lg can of condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10 oz) can of condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 Tsp of Onion Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp of White Pepper
  • 1 Package of refrigerated biscuit dough, torn into pieces
  • 1/4 Cup of chicken broth
  • 1/4 Tsp of pepper
  • 1 cup of water
CROCK POT RECIPE DIRECTIONS: Combine all ingredients except biscuits in crock pot. Cook 5-6 hours on high. Then take biscuits and tear off 1 to 2 inch pieces and drop them into the crock pot. Make sure all the dough gets fully immersed. Cook for 30 minutes or until biscuits are cooked all the way through.


  1. Pour the can of cream of chicken, chicken broth, water, butter & spices into a pan
  2. Once mixture comes to a boil take biscuits and tear off 1 to 2 inch pieces and drop them into the mixture. Make sure all the dough gets fully immersed at least for a little while.
  3. Cook for 10 minutes, occasionally stirring gently.
  4. Add desired amount of shredded rotisserie chicken.
  5. Cook for 5-8 minutes longer while stirring gently but frequently. Once biscuits are cooked all the way through it is ready to serve. 

Slow Cooker Classic Roast w/ Veggies & Gravy

  • "My Husband and I love to come home Sunday afternoon to this amazing meal! It is tender and easy to make! GREAT as Left Overs!"


  • 4 lbs of Roast Beef (I use Tip Roast)
  • 1 packet of Lipton Recipe Secrets Onion Dip Mix or Lipton Beefy Onion Soup Mix
  • 4 beef bouillon cubes
  • 8-10 potatoes
  • 8-10 carrots
  • 2 Packets of McCormick Brown Gravy
Slow Cooker Instructions:
  1. Wash and cut the potatoes and carrots in equal sizes. Brown the roast beef on all sides in a greased skillet.
  2. Coat the roast in Lipton Recipe Soup Mix (you'll put the rest of the packet in the water in the crock pot)
  3. Put the roast, potatoes, carrots, bouillon cubes and rest of Lipton Recipe Soup Mix in Crock Pot.
  4. Fill Crock Pot with water until everything is covered. Then cook on High for 6 hours. About 10 minutes before your ready to serve roast follow directions on back of McCormick Brown Gravy packets and cook gravy. Serve Roast covered in gravy with potatoes and carrots! ENJOY! 
 Oven Directions:
You can also do everything exactly the same but put all ingredients in a glass pan with water (you won't be able to cover everything with water but that is fine.) and cook at 375 degrees until meat is no longer pink inside which should be about 2 hours.

Turkey Chili, Chips & Cheese

  • "Delicious Chili with Corn Chips perfect for a cold winter day!" 


  • 1 1/2 pounds of ground turkey
  • 3 (27 oz) cans of Bush's Chili Beans
  • 4 (8 oz) cans of Rotel's Origninal Tomato Sauce
  • 1 packet of McCormick Chili Seasoning
  • 4 cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag of Frito's Corn Chips
  • 1 small container of Sour Cream
  • P.S if you like tomatoes in your chili replace 1 or 2 tomato sauce cans with 1 (10 oz) can of Rotel Diced Tomatoes & Diced Green Chiles

Crock Pot Directions

  1. Cook the turkey in a skillet or pan 
  2. Mix turkey, chili beans, tomato sauce and McCormick Chili Powder into Crock Pot
  3. Cook for 4 hours until hot, then serve

Stove Top Directions

  1. Cook the turkey in a pan, then mix in chili beans, tomato sauce & McCormick Chili Powder and cook until hot!
  2. Layer the bottom of a bowl with frito's corn chips, then add chili and top with cheese and sour cream. Then Serve and Enjoy! 

Slow Cooker Brown Sugar & Coke Ham

  • "For a delicious, no-fuss ham that is juicy and good, try this slow cooker sensation!"


  • 3 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 Quarter Spiral Sliced (Fully Cooked) Ham
  • 1 Glaze Packet that comes with Ham
  • 1/2 can of coke


  1. Cover bottom of crock pot with a layer of brown sugar. Then place the ham flat side down into the slow cooker - you might have to trim it a little to make it fit. Use your hands to rub the remaining brown sugar onto the ham.
  2. Pour coke onto ham and into crock pot until all brown sugar is moist.
  3. Cover and Cook for 3 hours on High, then spread glaze packet on top of ham. Put the crock pot on warm for 45 min. or until ready to serve.
